Tekken's Influence on Mortal Kombat

Well it's really official that Ed Boon is a fan of Tekken but why it took some time for Mortal Kombat to really soup up was something.  Here's where Tekken influence can be seen:

Mortal Kombat 4
  • Basically the endings were similar to Tekken 3

Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
  • The game created custom combos, unique fighting stances and even the Anime style look.
  • Sonya Blade resembles Nina Williams.

Mortal Kombat Deception
  • Bo Rai Cho fought like Ganryu in some way in the Sumo stance and like Lei Wulong in the Drunken Fist stance
  • The final boss, Onaga, resembles True Ogre

Mortal Kombat 2011
  • Sonya Blade looks like Nina Williams now.
  • The use of the left-right limbs as default attacks.
