Hopefully, Tekken 7 Enters The PS4/XBox One Arena This Year!
It might be frustrating for some PS4/XBox One owners who are getting a lot of cool stuff with Mortal Kombat X (they're probably enjoying the final Kombat Pack) but still no Tekken 7 for the current generation consoles. The PS4 isn't that expensive, I want to get it but it's all about Tekken 7 that becomes my reason that I want to get it.
I guess a lot of Tekken fans are still suffering from frustration. Some may have already bought a PS4 or XBox One because they're waiting for Tekken 7. But still no Tekken 7?
Watching MMPR as a kid, I was basically bewitched by Kimberly Hart. And I would say her beauty is pretty unique from most of the Power Rangers girls and Super Sentai girls. Too bad writers derailed her in Zeo. Now for those sweet smiles.
There's no doubt that Power Rangers usually has the problem of bad writing and I think Kimberly is one big victim of it. How? While she started out pretty fine, she was able to fight but the problem was later during the second to third season (probably that's why the actress wanted to leave) was because of this... you cannot deny that she was first changed from your average ranger to Tommy's damsel in distress which really gets annoying for the character.
Now this was another case of injustice against the character by the writers. Remember the MMPR/Masked Rider crossover? Getting Kimberly sick is indeed bad, bad and I mean VERY BAD writing. I really thought it was a pathetic treatment towards her. Who knows? Maybe that's why Amy Jo Johnson got sick and tired of all the bad writing she soon requested to make a proper leave. But I guess executives didn't want her to leave so easily. I cannot deny how the scene was really badly written. Sheesh... at least this mista…
As a child, I used to like Tommy a lot. Maybe it was because of how "cool" I thought he was or was it because of the Tommy/Kimberly ship that Dougie Boy sank for no good reason? That letter is best known as Doug Sloan forged Kimberly's signature into it! Okay, be ready for a lot of my personal biases because I'm mostly neutral with Power Rangers. But there are good Power Rangers seasons, there are some good actors who can really do what they do like Mike Chaturantabut is an accomplished martial artist or that Amy Jo Johnson plays a good Kimberly. But let's focus on Tommy who's nothing more than an overrated, self-glorified character like Hercule in Dragon Ball Z. Plus, Jason David Frank isn't really pleasing anymore either.
So what's my issues with Tommy? I would talk more about the post-Zeo era. Power Rangers managed to create some decent seasons. During Wild Force's "Forever Red", it bothers me why Tommy and not Jason was the leader. …
One of the greatest injustices in Power Rangers is the "Dear John letter" which for me was more of a F*CK YOU AMY JO JOHNSON than an actual plot mover. I was wondering, was Catherine Sutherland lacking popularity over Amy Jo Johnson, they wanted her back but couldn't get her back? Probably. But let me tell you what is downright wrong with the Dear John Letter!
One must admit that one of the running plots that go with Power Rangers is Tommy and Kimberly as a couple. It made me think it's very OUT OF CHARACTER for Kimberly to just dump Tommy like that. If they had to break up... it could have been done back then but it's still a bad idea. Again, it's nothing more than an attempt to replace her with Kat and it's a pretty forced thing to do.
What I thought is that, this was character derailment to an otherwise really popular character. They could have just kept the relationship a distant one, where Kimberly writes to Tommy every now and then... rather than …
So far, for me the most memorable and most likable character in MMPR will always be Trini Kwan. Why? Aside from being an Asian yellow ranger, she was presented to be the toughest, most kick-ass character with a tough personality. She's really that skilled that even Jason gets amazed by her knowledge in martial arts. She was also the first yellow ranger in Power Rangers.
She reminded me of Mika Koizumi in Bioman who was also the first female yellow ranger in Super Sentai and the first yellow ranger in Bioman. Her character died in episode 10 when Mason used the Bio Killer Gun, she saved the others at the cost of her life. Both characters were kick-ass female. Eventually like the actress Yuki Yajima (who only stayed in Bioman for nine episodes), soon enough Thuy Trang (who stayed for less than a half of the second season) had payroll issues, had enough of Saban and quit.
Eventually on that fateful day of September 3, 2001 an accident claimed her life. She like Mika Koizumi me…
After seeing Christina Masterson's videos and get-ups outside of Megaforce, I'll admit the problem wasn't her but the set that put her into it. I mean, her make-up wasn't done properly, the people behind Megaforce's rather shoddy and cheap anniversary production was the real problem. If you take a look at Christina in Megaforce vs. her other media, there's a REALLY huge contrast between the time she was in Megaforce (badly done make-up and bad script) vs. other media where her natural beauty shines.
If done right, she could have become another Kimberly for Power Rangers. But bad writing, wardrobe and just everything ruined that potential. While I initially had a lot of ranting but I realized the real problem wasn't her but the script and crew. The more I look at her outside Megaforce, the more I realize she's not the problem but it's all about the writing and execution. I thought that the actress can really act (look at her videos OUTSIDE Megaforce…
Looking back at MMPR and Kimberly leaving, what if Amy Jo Johnson didn't leave the set until later that is Turbo?
I simply just fantasized what if she were Zeo Ranger I and Kat never came into existence. While I'm not a fan of Kat herself BUT I cannot deny that I still think of what if Amy Jo Johnson didn't decide to leave for better career opportunities. So here's what I think could happen for Zeo if Kimberly not Kat were the Pink Zeo Ranger. Chances are also these... knowing Jason returned in Zeo, there would probably the love triangle between Tommy and Jason for Kimberly to manifest which wasn't really in Power Rangers back then she will stay until second half of Turbo.
I can always say that I usually choose not to watch Power Rangers because I don't really like it as much as Super Sentai. Back as a child, I enjoyed watching Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. I watched it like every other child. I still remember my crush on Kimberly and how much I collected items like her trading cards and stickers. I didn't care how stupid it felt but I did it anyway. But there was always something that came in between. I would say that something in between was Super Sentai and other Japanese Tokusatsu shows.
It's certain that I was also watching Super Sentai (without knowing the term back then) as well as Kamen Rider Black, Shaider and Gavan. I just called it "The original Japanese Power Rangers." I just wondered why in the world there were Mighty Morphin' stickers with Japanese characters unaware of the existence of Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. I remembered Bioman, Maskman, Turboranger, Fiveman and Jetman as part of the pre-Zyuranger Super S…
Power Rangers snobs need to face this fact: no Super Sentai means no Power Rangers! They might reply with, "But Saban took Super Sentai which is crap and made it legend!" to my face. But here's one question that I might ask to them, "Did you even bother to watch Super Sentai before you call it crap? Did you bother to do some comparison or are you just bitching out because one's in Japanese and your beloved show is in English?" The whole idea of taking "crap" and making it "legend" is something. If it were crap why did Super Sentai survive in spite of having some bad seasons? If it were crap then why is Super Sentai the longest running Tokusatsu series by Toei? If it were crap then why would it attract both Stan Lee and Haim Saban in two different occasions? That may be a few questions to ask the Power Rangers snobs assuming they can provide a good answer.
Here's what I'm just think about that the whole kingdom of these Power Ran…
What truly shocked me to think was that Power Rangers Wild Force is an unpopular season. I read various reasons and I can agree with a few of them. So what was really wrong with Wild Force? I really want to show about some issues that were addressed.
Acting in Wild Force was really, really terrible for most audiences. I wouldn't say they were overacting, they were mostly underacting. I thought Princess Shayla was okay but she sounded more like a Disney princess. Tetomu was much better than she was. I don't think Rick Medina is a terrible actor considering he was still able to deliver his part but he's just... inadequate. What was worse is that Rick did a lot of stuff that ruined him... however looks like he's changed for the better now. If you ask me, Gaoranger's acting is much better than this show or its predecessor Time Force had a way better cast of actors. Time Force was praised for good acting and Wild Force was criticized for bad acting. In my own…
