If there was anything more interesting in Tekken was the recurring protagonist Jin Kazama- he was a result of Kazuya Mishima raping Jun Kazama thus he carries his mother's surname. He first appeared in Tekken 3 when he trained under his paternal grandfather Heihachi Mishima who would later use him as bait against Ogre. He entered the third Tekken tournament to avenge his mother's death at the hands of Ogre. It was also there he met a rival in Hwoarang. After he defeated Ogre, Heihachi Mishima tried to kill him despite their blood relations because of the Devil Gene inside him. However he revealed that he wasn't easily dispatched off and revealed his Devil form. Hmmm Devil Jin sounds like Devil Gene, get it?
In Tekken 4, he found out his father had been revived by G-Corporation and worse, his grandfather Heihachi Mishima was once again sponsoring Tekken. He unlearned the Mishima karate style for traditional karate, changing his style making him his very own character. He planned to kill both his father and his grandfather then himself to end the curse. He defeated Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima. While attempting to kill his grandfather Heihachi Mishima, he received a vision of his mother which convinced him to spare them. Once again the curse continued.
In Tekken 5, he ended up facing the fact that his great-grandfather Jinpachi Mishima had returned from the dead. At the same time, Devil Jin was becoming more active. During the coruse of events in the tournament, he fought Jinpachi Mishima. It was possible either he defeated Jinpachi Mishima in normal form or in devil form. Regardless, the devil gene took effect on him for the next game.
So what happened? Jin Kazama under the power of the devil gene in him grew crazy to cause a worldwide war. Everything was under the Mishima terror. He rivaled against his father Kazuya Mishima who took over the G-Corporation. War began and the sixth tournament was under him. He and Kazuya Mishima's battle awakened the great evil Azazel, who may have had something to do with his curse. He may have killed Azazel in an effort to remove the devil within him once and for all.
