Here are the next two episodes I decided to lump together. These are two episodes that I think really are rather weird. A bit of a review - Jiban also had the Queen Cosmos villain who's an ALIEN. The Bioron in Jiban are a bio-engineering syndicate. Now, for what I'd call a couple of weird episodes. I guess Janperson never could deny Jiban as its predecessor, right? Now, it's time for another weird run.
Episode 33
After the introduction of Boddicker ahem Tatewaki's new form as Bill Goldy - we get another Super Science Network episode. Are invaders really COMING FROM SPACE? This is one weird episode written by yours truly, Hirohisa Soda. The Soda era for Super Sentai ended with Fiveman. Yet, it seemed Soda was still willing to share his expertise even after his burnout. This is one pretty weird episode that had me entertained without end.
I guess the BLACK RX jokes can't stop so easily, right? The aliens are actually humans with telekinesis. Professor Horota dresses himself up as a repainted Crisis Empire soldier. Yes, three people are also dressed up in repainted CRISIS EMPIRE soldier outfits. Yeah, this should've been a bigger hint to me back then that Power Rangers was based on a Japanese franchise! It was also that time when I saw Shaider getting used to VR Troopers. The "Chaps" are all causing panic. However, one of the "Chaps" is Shinichi Kurata. Shinichi has a sister named Yuri, Shinichi is also an admirer of KAORU.
I find this episode rather weird. I wonder how Atsuko Takahata felt about using BLACK RX references in some episodes. Professor Horota does end up causing Janperson to test his derivatives. Jiban also was tasked to use force when necessary. Professor Horota's fake UFO really causes trouble. In the end, Janperson had no choice but to kill a civilian. Otherwise, Professor Horota's UFO could've caused more trouble if it weren't shot down. Shinichi later disappears without being recalled later on.
Episode 34
This episode is co-written by Junichi Miyashita and Kazuhiro Inoue. After the last episode brought an alien - we have a REAL alien this time named Rio. We also have a scene of gangsters beating up Boddicker ahem Tatewaki's car. I guess these are rival gangsters who are aware of Tatewaki's next plan to buy off their property. I guess Tatewaki had already killed more than enough rival gangsters before becoming Billgoldy. This amnesiac child Rio creates a gun out of thin air. Tatewaki decides to do what he does best - For the Evulz!
Rio becomes the next tool for Tatewaki's schemes. Tatewaki using an alien kid to go on a cop-killing spree is just despicable. We know Tatewaki pretty much is, "Cops don't like me so I don't like them!" After a fake alien episode - we have a real alien here. What was the purpose of this? Was this meant to remind us Jiban had Queen Cosmos? The alien plot isn't that used though it's been used in the Rescue Police Trilogy. We had David Akiba and Carlos Togo (whose actor Kyoji Kamui was a Neo-Guild robot) in Exceedraft as aliens. Winspector and Solbrain had a few episodes with aliens. I guess Janperson was going to have it too. This also sets Janperson and Gun Gibson with some clashes. As always, Gun Gibson is impulsive and tries to shoot an alien CHILD with superpowers.
This episode lacks the silliness of the previous episode. The child Rio escaped from his planet because of the war. I was wondering if Janperson was truly meant to be separate (for a time) from the Rescue Police Trilogy? I wanted to think this was a chance to link Exceedraft. Maybe, mention Iwao Daimon as the cause of the war. Tatewaki becomes Bill Goldy and later kills the child. Ugh, seriously? This episode also has R-Zico become the show's version of the Daedelus cannon from Jiban. Daedelus was a jetpack for Jiban. Daedelus was a character in Greek mythology who tried to create wings and had a son named Icarus. Rio dies as a result of his wounds. Screw you Bill Goldy!

See you again!
