Why Motaro In "Mortal Kombat (2011)" Would've Been A Real Balance Breaker

Mortal Kombat (2011) is a game that's celebrated for being a franchise reboot. However, no game is ever free of blot. One could think that Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was a junk game -- a mistake to be learned from! I wrote about Motaro being reduced to a cameo. I wanted to reimagine what if Motaro was in Mortal Kombat (2011) and what possible ramifications would it have to the OVERALL PRODUCT.

Mortal Kombat 3 was already infamous for breaking the balance. Motaro was added and the character was already known for his BRUTAL DIFFICULTY. Motaro was even more difficult than Shao Kahn. One could observe that Motaro was practically NATURALLY IMMUNE TO PROJECTILES. The huge body size, the huge hitbox (both front and back) and the MASSIVE DAMAGE MOTARO DID were all factors that made him worse than Shao Kahn. I found his look cool (at first) but the guy is a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.

Mortal Kombat (2011) introduced several new technical fight features. The story mode showed that Motaro could've been included. But Motaro was cut short. Motaro had a few fight scenes presumably filmed using motion capture. It was most likely Motaro was prepared for in-game. However, the developers would've given SECOND THOUGHTS. The game was meant to be competitive in SOME WAY. The game was a clean state from the old timeline! It would mean introducing a new generation of adult fans to a new game. The game not only shifted to the use of Tekken's one button per limb mapping. Juggle combos and x-ray moves were already added.

The NPC bosses rendered some heavy damage. The NPC bosses from Goro, Kintaro, and Shao Kahn were immune to throws BUT they could be JUGGLED and HIT BY X-RAYS -- even if the X-RAY WAS A THROW TYPE. It made me think of the scenario that Motaro was added into the game. Motaro would be IMMUNE TO JUGGLES and IMMUNE TO X-RAYS. That means several combos aren't gonna work and fighters would be OVERLY DISADVANTAGED. It would be a fight that was RIDICULOUSLY UNFAIR it will break the balance.

Thankfully, the developers did everyone a favor. They showed Motaro in the Story Mode but just so short a role. Having Raiden kill Motaro was just a stroke of genius. Seeing Motaro's body brought in was a total delight. It was most likely meant to say, "Fans, we could've put Motaro but he'd be too hard!" More fans were probably relieved since Motaro was just a real monster. Moloch had the same treatment in the Mortal Kombat X storyline in the comics and game. Quan Chi even brings Moloch's severed head too. Sheeva would later bring Motaro's head in one of her intros in Mortal Kombat 11.

I must question why Motaro became a Kameo character in Mortal Kombat 1. The guy's better off thrown off more than Hsu Hao. I believe Hsu Hao might be redeemable -- if DONE RIGHT. Motaro deserves more hatred than Hsu Hao TBH.
