"Snow White" In "Faerie Tale Theatre": When Lower Budget Production Beats Disney's Larger Budget DISASTER

It's NO SURRISE that Snow Woke truly TANKED. The off-screen drama between Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot isn't surprising either. Unfortunately, Rachel's SJW attitude had already wrecked things. Now, it's time to review one of my favorite TV shows as a child -- Faerie Tale Theatre. The stories have modifications from the OG sources. Some OG stories are just too brutal and deserve to be changed. Of course, we couldn't have the Wicked Queen dance on red-hot shoes now, right?

One could remember Vanessa Redgrave (left) and Elizabeth McGovern (right) as the Wicked Queen and Snow White. If I'm not wrong, Vanessa was actually 47 years old -- maybe more age-appropriate than Gal who's only 39 years old. However, people married rather young back then. Even today, Elizabeth as an OLD WOMAN still looks better than Rachel. But the point is Rachel's attitude that didn't help with the film TANKING!

Here's a middle-aged Vanessa -- still looking good! I don't want to admit it but even Vanessa's older photos. Vanessa almost captures the Wicked Queen from Disney (later named Grimhilde) in her amazing performance. I couldn't help but marvel at Vanessa's wicked performance as the Wicked Queen. It was necessary to tone things down. After all, it was a child's show, and letting the Wicked Queen dance with iron hot shoes -- was too brutal! Instead, it was that the court magician turned every mirror she had -- turned black! It's a fitting punishment for the Wicked Queen!

Intentional or not? Elizabeth's younger years look nearly like the OG Snow White. Did the hair stylists decide to match her hair with the MOVIE? Elizabeth was 23 years old -- the same age as Rachel today! Elizabeth's natural performance nearly makes the 1937 cartoon character seem alive. There's no song number, presumably due to time constraints. After all, Faerie Tale Theatre is a TV production.

What makes me laugh rewatching this one is the Wicked Queen's denialism. The Wicked Queen should've accepted that SHE'S. FREAKING. GROWING. OLD. I couldn't imagine the thoughts that Vanessa had in playing a vain woman who couldn't accept her age. The Wicked Queen may have never thought that she's a withering flower and Snow White is a blooming flower. A far different attitude than Snow White's birth mother (who was acted by the late Shelley Duvall). The Wicked Queen should've accepted her time was over. Sadly, some people just couldn't accept their glory days are over -- pretty or not! Snow White is beautiful inside out -- which would contribute to her title! The Magic Mirror may have sensed Snow White's inner beauty a lot.

Should it be a twist that the late Vincent Price was both the magic mirror AND the narrator? I remember Vincent the most as Egghead in Batman (1966). Vincent's narration perfectly fit into the TV episode. The poetry lines are like, "Man! What a genius!" The TV movie ends with Vincent's face closing his eyes.

Overall, this would be a good way to show what Disney did wrong!
