Power Rangers Samurai: Why I'm Disliking It

Hmmm flame at me all you want but here's the reality, I don't like the Power Ranger Samurai season for the following reasons:

They just don't get creative with what they get.  So you've got a two whites, one Chinese girl (presumably) and at least one African set as the characters.  So okay, if they were not able to get an Asian red ranger (which I think could have been great just for this season but well, auditions do affect casting with whose the best vs. whose the worse) however, the whole issue is that they can't get creative. Trying to port the Shinkenger story into these guys is lame.  They could have at least handled things differently like the last samurai of Japan found them to be his new pupils rather than import the Shinkenger story into them and it's just being forced.  Jayden could have at least been a "karate kid" type of character than a carbon copy of Takeru- a much nicer guy than Takeru was.  Also Mia as a bad cook is lacking the charm …

Tekken's Influence on Mortal Kombat

Well it's really official that Ed Boon is a fan of Tekken but why it took some time for Mortal Kombat to really soup up was something.  Here's where Tekken influence can be seen:

Mortal Kombat 4
Basically the endings were similar to Tekken 3
Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance
The game created custom combos, unique fighting stances and even the Anime style look.  Sonya Blade resembles Nina Williams.

Mortal Kombat Deception
Bo Rai Cho fought like Ganryu in some way in the Sumo stance and like Lei Wulong in the Drunken Fist stanceThe final boss, Onaga, resembles True Ogre
Mortal Kombat 2011 Sonya Blade looks like Nina Williams now.The use of the left-right limbs as default attacks.

Mortal Kombat Boss Characters: To Be Playable or Not Playable?

Mortal Kombat had the history of creating unplayable characters who were far more powerful than the regular fighters.  However they began to be playable in the following games:

Mortal Kombat 3- In VS Mode, it was possible to play as Shao Kahn or Motaro in the home consoles.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy- In the Playstation/Saturn version the characters Goro, Kintaro, Motaro and Shao Kahn are directly playable but they were extreme power houses causing imbalances during VS Mode.  They had no proper ending.

Mortal Kombat 4/Gold- It was possible to play as Goro via a code and he wasn't that powerful.  He had no ending.

Mortal Kombat Armageddon- While in Deadly Alliance to Deception the characters Moloch and Onaga were non-playable, they were playable in Armageddon. Blaze the final boss was also playable but he had to be unlocked like Taven, Daegon and Meat.  However they were not as incredibly powerful as the bosses were in MK Trilogy so it was more of a fair battle.

In the newest Mortal Ko…

The Cheesy Secret Attacks of the Megaman X Franchise

During the first three games of Megaman X series, one can see there were cheesy secret weapons which can be categorized as:

Megaman X1- The Hadoken.  After you've collected EVERY last item needed, you could get this cool item which though it can only be executed on a full meter, it could kill any boss in one hit (if successful) which could destroy Velgauder and Sigma in a hit.  Challenge broken down really.

Megaman X2- Shoryuken- It was really kind of hard to find and it was a vertical attack, again can only be executed with a full meter.  The damage was really heavy or even kills at one hit.

Megaman X3- Zero's beam saber- This is kind of hard to get if you ask me.  Well, here's what- it can cut damage in half and it's way cheesier than the Ultimate Armor in X4, X5 and X6.  The ultimate armor was cheap but not that cheap!

Megaman X4- The Ultimate Armor.  Well it was cheesy in the sense that the Nova Strike could be done infinitely but other than that, it was no instant…

Mortal Kombat's 18 Levels of Hell: Who Possibly Went There

Here are the eighteen levels and I'll write possible Mortal Kombat characters who may have been there.

Chamber of Wind and Thunder – People who kill and commit heinous crimes out of greed are sent here for punishment.

Possible entrants: None I could think of
Chamber of Grinding – Wealthy men who do no good and waste food are being ground into powder in this chamber.

Possible entrants: Possibly Shang Tsung or Kano during their deaths in Shaolin Monks prior to their revival
Chamber of Flames – People who steal, plunder, rob and cheat are sent here to be burnt.

Possible entrants: Black Dragon clan members, Red Dragon clan members, Lin Kuei, most notable may be Kano, Shang Tsung, the original Sub-Zero before turning into Noob Saibot
Chamber of Ice – Children who ill-treat their parents and elders are sent here to be frozen in ice.

Possible entrants: None I could think of.
Chamber of Oil Cauldrons – Sex offenders such as rapists, lechers, adulterers are being fried in oil in this chamber.

Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks

Compared to MK Mythologies and MK Special Forces, MK Shaolin Monks succeeds where the two other games mentioned failed.  Why?  Well it's got a solid adventure mode, all the interaction, martial arts and awesome bosses.  Okay so it got the whole MK2 game rewritten for some reason but it's one awesome game.  Here are the differences between MK2 vs. Shaolin Monks:
Liu Kang and Kung Lao share a Ryu/Ken type of rivalry with Kung Lao being the Ken of the series.  He had remained hidden during the first tournament in contrary to the official MK2 comic.Goro was able to escape to Outworld therefore Gorbak wasn't able to demand for Shang Tsung's execution.Scorpion worked alongside Shang Tsung. The game also adds Kung Lao being the reason why Sub-Zero got the scar, something never confirmed in the later games.Jax already got the technology to open a portal which is revealed after the optional battle with Kano.Several characters died in this game namely Jade, Baraka, Reptile, Goro, …
