Ninja Steel Ain't Sharp Enough To Make The Cut?

Image
Here's what I feel and personally, I don't think I should be surprised with how Power Rangers Ninja Steel itself really fails big time. While I do acknowledge the contracts between Toei and Saban but I guess the franchise has been shooting itself at the foot way too many times . It's really had me thinking about it that the project may no longer be as feasible as it used to because of bad marketing decisions such as the summer break which only delays revenues. So what's the point? I hope I can make this as objective as possible with pointing what's wrong with Ninja Steel. Don't even get me started on how Victor and Monty with how that they really that useless to the show. They're even way more stupid than the father of both Takaharu and Fuuka. At least the father of the Igasaki siblings contributes to the plot while the other two only serve to derail it. This is really proof Judd Lynn has burned himself out beyond belief. I've even heard that Judd L...

Ninja Steel And The Galaxy Games

Image
When I look at this, I want to do some criticism maybe they could have named it as Ninja Space instead of Ninja Steel. What's funny is that while Ninja Steel has the Galaxy Games, this year's upoming Super Sentai Kyuranger is the first space themed Super Sentai in many years. Though there's the pressing concern that Judd Lynn already showed signs of burning out during Dino Charge and Ninja Steel may be his collapse period. I don't want to compare the show to Ninninger either because the execution is very much apples and oranges. There's lots of original footage here so screw you Jonathan Tzachor. I think the issue is with the return of Star Wars. Den of Geek reveals this interesting information: Mitchell also cites Power Rangers main competition these days as not only Marvel but also Star Wars. It isn’t hard to see that the new trilogy of movies had an influence on Kyuranger’s space motif.

Will Judd Lynn's Downright Crash Be With Power Rangers Ninja Steel?

Image
I admit I still don't like Ninninger and I haven't changed my mind about it. Even after giving the whole series a chance and watched it, it just doesn't click with it. I also don't like Kyoryuger and recently Dino Charge's finale has a lot of holes. Then again, like Yasuko Kobayashi and Toshiki Inoue, Judd Lynn isn't very good with finales either. Right now, it's just safe to say that Lynn is already hitting towards the road to burnout. Assuming he'll even become the head writer then be ready to see a lot of bad outcomes like what happened to other writers. Writer's burnout is inevitable. Just think about how long Lynn himself was involved. He took over the second half of Power Rangers Turbo. He made his debut as the head writer of Power Rangers in Space. Then he continued on with Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Power Rangers Time Force and took over the second half of Power Rangers RPM. Then he's assigned to Power...

Is Sarah/Ninja Steel Pink The New Kimberly?

Image
Yes, we're having another short pink ranger no questions asked. It's too early to actually comment on it since Ninja Steel hasn't even started. I'm already having my series of early biases for and against it. It's just like when Dino Charge came out, I already had biases against it because I really freaking didn't like Kyoryuger. I also freaking didn't like Ninja Steel. Power Rangers' splitting into two seasons is a horrible idea. I hope they fix that mistake. I'd like to talk about one thing: it's about trying to redo Kimberly. Power Rangers Megaforce tried to redo her but failed due to Jonathan Tzachor. I always felt that Kimberly's concept can be redone right or wrong depending on who's in charge. Yasuko Kobayashi was able to do her own version of Kimberly with Mako. Tzachor wasted an entire cast that could have done something good. Looking at the Megaforce cast outside their show, they're far more different than they were in-...

So We're Having Another Short Pink Ranger?

Image
As Power Rangers Ninja Steel's cast was verified and we're having a bit of reversal here with white being taller than pink (while in Ninninger, it was the opposite), I'm just reminded that some cast members in both Super Sentai and Power Rangers are pretty short themselves. The pink ranger is played by Chrystiane Lopes.  Back in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, one can notice that Amy Jo Johnson-Giner was the shortest cast member ever. She was only 5'2. But there's been some short and mighty characters in Super Sentai and Power Rangers. Kimberly's short but she can kick ass. Others we can name are Ako Hayasaka (Blue Swallow), Kotoha Hanaori (Shinken Yellow), Emily (Yellow Samurai Ranger) and Fuuka (Shironinger) who are the shortest in their team but they can really fight.
