An Unfair Hatred For Scrappy Doo?

Image
Sometimes, there's a lot of misplaced hatred. It's one thing to dislike Top Cat for his idiotic antics (though I can enjoy them from time to time at a different angle). It's another thing that Scrappy-Doo does get some unfair hatred. I'm afraid that the gag has gone too far even to make him the villain of that infamous Scooby Doo movie which I'll always hate. If they don't like Scrappy then just don't include him in any reboot or mention him at all.  Even one episode of Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. made a BAD REFERENCE. I felt like Daphne Blake deserved a better man to hug her. Fred Jones said, "We promised not to mention him again." Did something bad happen to him? I felt that the whole scene was a bad joke. TBH I feel sorry for Daphne still thinking about it. We don't know what happened to Scrappy but I felt it was a bad joke. I could still embrace Daphne. I wished I was her man there!  What's interesting information from Looper is this on the...

The Stupid Reason I Watched Scooby-Doo: Daphne Blake

Image
I guess we've all had our crazy cartoon crushes as children, right? Talk about how Nobuo Akagi in  Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger  is so moe for Aoi-Tan (who's voiced by Hiroyo Hakase) except you were a child. I would like to do a bit of stupid recollection of that stupid crush I've had on the otherwise non-existent Daphne Blake. Yup, if it wasn't just that dumb crush I had on Kimberly Hart in  Mighty Morphin'  - it was also my dumb crush on Daphne Blake. Granted, my first exposure to the  Scooby-Doo  franchise was the  Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show  and some direct-to-video animated films - not  Scooby-Doo Where Are You?.  One of those direct to video films was  Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School . Most of the time, I was too focused on the trio of Scooby, Scrappy, and Shaggy getting into crazy misadventures than them unmasking villains disguising as monsters. I didn't even realize Scrappy was unpopular hence the term The Scrappy on TV...

Daphne Blake

Image
Okay, this is kind of childish but I remembered the hottest character in Scooby-Doo was Daphne Blake. She was just so hot, well, she can cause one to fall for her even if she's not real. It was kind of nice for her to get sexy in some rare appearances especially as the graphics evolved from the 70s until recent times. So I kind of thought that her personality was more developed probably making her more popular. She turned from Danger Prone Daphne to a more mature one. Besides, I believe it's her popularity that caused Fred and Velma to be written off in the new seasons. In fact, the later seasons with Scrappy-Doo only had her, Shaggy, and Scooby in revealing monster hoaxes. However, I didn't like how her hair was done in Scooby-Doo and the 13 Ghosts. There was also the Freddie Jones-Daphne Blake fan shipping but it never materialized. For some reason though, I prefer her and Johnny Bravo as a couple (but she rejected him when they first met) but many will disagree. ...
