Remembering The Tekken Games That Concluded Their Appearance In Last Generation Consoles!

Knowing Tekken 7 will be out for the Playstation 4 soon, I want to give my thoughts on the three Tekken games that became the "last Tekken game" for the last generation systems.

Tekken had a total of three Playstation games.  The first two games were more or less basic but Tekken 3 started to innovate and revolutionize for a very last generation system.  Tekken 3 started adding more fighters, innovating the select screen, giving more fluid control than its predecessors and it really made a super believable performance before the Playstation became an obsolete system.   The game would start to give a preview of what to expect for the Playstation 2.  Until now, I still couldn't believe that this game managed to do a very good performance for a very old game.  Right now, I still want to play it all over again in the next generation consoles.

When the Playstation 2 came out, we had Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Tekken 4 and Tekken 5 as its next three entries.  Tekken 5 actually tried to give us a preview of what kind of gameplay we may expect from future Tekken games such as customization, better graphics, better character endings and a not so easy sidestepping (to correct the mistake last Tekken 4).  I always felt Tekken 5 was the best Tekken game for the Playstation 2.  Now only if it can get re-released in a collector's disk with the other Tekken games for the Playstation 4, in High Definition.

After Tekken 6, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 in what I'd call as, "Since it's already the last gen ending, so let's give it our best and maximize everything."  A huge step-up from Tekken Tag Tournament indeed with full CGI endings, better graphics, tons of secrets and maybe you can also name new features for tag battle, this game really tries to maximize the potential of the Playstation 3.  So I wonder how will Tekken 7 turn out for the next generation system?
