Was Alex Originally Intended To Be The Morally Ambigious "Main Villain" Of Time Force?

The scenes when Alex returned in Power Rangers Time Force almost suggested that he could have been the "main villain" of Time Force. In what way? I thought of the following plot that could have been written but was thrown out of the window by executives. It's possible that Alex himself may have allowed Ransik to escape, feigned his death (or he did die but knew he'd eventually come back to life if Ransik escaped to the past) and decided to run the show himself. Maybe he was meant to be Power Rangers' version of Captain Ryuuya as a manipulative bastard.

Okay, I'm just speculating but I think this is what was intended for Alex in Time Force. Alex shows back into the present and has seen the possibility of two futures: one where he'll die in both futures. One may involve Frax getting destroyed by his own creation Dragontron or one where Doomtron is forced to go haywire. How Lucas reacted here is almost a hint that maybe, just maybe we'll get a scene where Lucas shoots Alex after a struggle. Then we could think it could be part of a much bigger plot.

So what if another plot involves that his plan to let Ransik escape would even allow the destruction of the whole mutant population in the 31st century by destroying them all in the past? I think that maybe Ransik wasn't even supposed to mind wipe Frax. Instead, Frax was going to go haywire and ends up killing Ransik as a result which would lead to a new 31st Century. It would give Jen a better reason to end their relationship since he has the potential to be an abusive husband. He could have even died as a result where off-screen his own actions end up with him getting shot by Lucas off-screen.

But I guess such a plot was just too much to add for Time Force which isn't meant to be darker and edgier to start with.
