The Friends Of Humanity Shoots Itself At The Foot More Than Once In Saban's X-Men Cartoon

X-Men Animated presented one case of a lesson in human genetics -- it's when two Mutant Human parents give birth to a normal human child. Graydon Creed is the illegitimate son of both Sabertooth (who was renamed as Graydon Creed Sr. in the cartoon) and Mystique but was abandoned when they discovered he was human. The cartoon did somehow drop a hint that Nightcrawler could be Sabertooth's son too and that Mystique was probably lying about the German count. Remember that scene Wolverine imagines Nightcrawler but also sees Sabertooth?

The whole Friends of Humanity movement was founded by Graydon himself for this reason -- to eradicate mutants. He discovered he was the normal human son of two mutant parents who abandoned him as an inconvenience. Him being a normal human is no surprise. His grandparents on his father side were both normal humans and Mystique's parents were probably human too. So why be surprised that Graydon is perfectly human? Creed would use his hate organization because of his screwed up parentage. I guess it's only normal that an abandoned child would feel like that and eventually take it out on the whole world.

What made me laugh was how the Friends of Humanity abandoned him for the authorities when they discover he's the son of Sabertooth. Worse, he was later kicked out of his own organization because they discovered these other two blood relatives were mutants -- Mystique is his mother and Nightcrawler is specified as his brother. Hmmm, did the Friends of Humanity have a scandalous record that Mystique committed adultery with Sabertooth and sired another son with him? Come on, Graydon is a NORMAL human. Kicking him out on the basis he has mutant human relatives can be considered suicidal for the organization for this reason.

Apparently, the X-Gene seems present in every human being. Chances are many members of the said organization would soon be kicking each other out because of mutant relatives. What if somebody in the said organization would sire a mutant child with a normal human partner? How long can they hide it as long as Graydon hid his parentage from them? I would assume the organization would be shooting itself way too many times at the foot. Just think what if the high council would soon have mutant children from human partners? After all, mutants are still humans whether they like it or not!
