Not Exactly a Kiddie Show

Image
I just thought of the idea that there's the teasing of "Tokusatsu is a kiddie show" or as a child, I used to count every Tokusatsu on TV as part of my "Kiddie Show Time".  However as a grownup, I just had my thoughts on that while Power Rangers can be called "kiddie" however most Tokusatsu series regardless of genre does feel in itself to be more mature than kiddie show to me... Real hard civilian casualties.  In Tokusatsu, civilian casualties can be that disturbing in some ways.  Some civilian casualties even display blood and deaths in them.  For example in Dairanger and Kamen Rider Kuuga, both shows really showed frightening civilian casualties that would scare the shit out of a toddler.  In most American adaptations, they really just say, "And nobody got hurt..." despite the fact that the city was obviously suffering big damage. Lots of violence and bleeding.  In Super Sentai, the action is far more outrageous than its American ada...

Most Sadistic Kamen Rider Villains

Image
Here are some Kamen Rider villains I would consider to be extremely sadistic: Kensei Bilgenia- He really was imo the most sadistic villain ever in Kamen Rider Black, he even exceeds Shadow Moon and his cruelty exceeds to that of the three priests Darom, Barom and Beshium.  He really is an incredibly difficult foe to beat, he shows no compassion in contrast to his successor Shadow Moon (who was merely brainwashed to be another person) and he just gets sicker every episode he appears in.  It was kind of a disappointment when Shadow Moon finally awakened to forward the Black Sun vs. Shadow Moon arc which was necessary to complete the story. General Tasmadder- Compared to the villains of Black RX that really do watch each other's back, Tasmadder appears as smug, arrogant and even surpasses the cruelty of his boss Grand Lord Crisis to whom he serves as a mobile body to, similar to the relationship of Psychorror to Demon King Psycho in Sharivan.  In fact, he's my favori...

Dr. Wily's Counter Megamen

Image
In the history of Megaman, Dr. Wily has also tried to create his own counter Megamen to defeat the real deal for good.  They were... Protoman (Blues)- He was supposedly the prototype robot for the first generation robots that could think and decide on its own.  However he was quite unstable so he was put away.  Dr. Wily stole the faulty prototype and turned him into Protoman to counter Megaman.  While he at first worked with Dr. Wily but by Megaman 3's end (he appeared as a sub-boss in some levels of that game), he defected sides and chose to side with Megaman.  Sort of like Metalder's Top Gunner.  However it's revealed that he could soon erupt anytime because he was a defective unit.  How he died is still unknown. Bass (Forte)- After losing Protoman, Dr. Wily managed to create another evil Megaman in the form of Bass and a dog named Treble (Gospel in Japan, strangely he's no good news!).  While he seemed to be a Maverick hunter at first, h...

My Favorite Rockman Opening Themes

Image
Well for all those who play the original Rockman instead of the U.S. Megaman, here are those rather cool theme songs that we don't hear in the U.S. version: The Rockman 8 opening theme "Electric Communication". Rockman X3's "One More Time".  First Rockman X opening theme available only in the Playstation and Saturn versions.   Rockman X4's "Unbeatable Love".

My Favorite Street Fighter Vocal Character Themes

Image
Here are my favorite Street Fighter character vocal songs.  Enjoy! From all the Street Fighter tracks, this is my favorite song of all time.  Sakura's "I Want You to Know" which is the vocal version of her theme song in Street Fighter.  I just love this song. And here is Chun Li's "Toward the Dream Position" although I wish it were in Mandarin instead of Nihonggo. Balrog's Masked Narcissist theme, although I wish it were in Spanish since Balrog is Spanish.

A Thought on Stuck Up Power Rangers Fans

It's a really annoying thought that there are Power Rangers fans who are stuck up with the adaptation and not setting for the original source of inspiration namely Super Sentai.  Such people DO exist at Rangerboard (I avoid that site like a plague) and here's a few interesting facts about them: 1.) Some of them have not even checked out even a single episode and they quickly jump into conclusions that Super Sentai is bad because it's Japanese.  Come on the Japanese-American war is over and both sides are now allies! 2.) They spread untrue rumors like MMPR being better than Zyuranger in Japan.  Well they should appreciate the cast of Super Sentai do take time to dub the adaptations BUT they should avoid spreading untrue rumors.  The Lost Galaxy rumor as Fantasy Leader pointed out wasn't real and he can be trusted as a  reliable source on that one having connections to Japan on his mother side. 3.) They call Power Rangers the "real deal" and Super Sentai a...

Claude Frollo's Sinister Smile in Disney

Image
I just thought that in the Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frollo does display some sinister smile which creeps me out.  In this picture, he does look like a homosexual pedophile ready to tempt Quasimodo into sinning with him.  Man this guy just creeps me out too much... yet I could also relate to him to a certain extent.
