The WTF Moment Of Sindel In 'MK11: Aftermath'

Image
Bad writing? Really... it looks like Corporate Commander has invaded Netherrealm Studios, right? The expansion pack's payment is justifiable. However, the latest storyline for Sindel is really making us go WTF with this retcon. Why is that? We must consider the big reality that Sindel has been altered into... willingly evil? I'm really finding myself LMAO and facedesk at the same time. Who can remember the original storyline Sindel had? Most of the time, we remember her to have ended her life driven to madness at the thought of serving Shao Kahn. Here? Did she love him all along because of a lust for power? Did she betray Jerrod all along? Did Quan Chi really plan her death? Even her tower ending is really that shocking. Right now, I can't decide which is more WTF between the revelation between Tekken 7 's revelation of the Devil Gene having been from the Hachijos (the clan of Heihachi's wife) or the sudden inclusion of Akuma into the Tekkenverse. If adding Akuma...

It Seems That Marvel's Legacy Virus Predicted The COVID-19 Pandemic

Image
; I keep hearing that the Legacy Virus was supposed to be a metaphor for AIDS. Sadly, Marvel subscribed to the woke stupidity. However, there was a time when Marvel was more focused on real issues such as racial discrimination. Did Stan Lee have Asian Americans in mind when he wrote about mutant discrimination? Maybe, maybe not but mutants were humans born with the x-gene. Mutants are humans too but why are they discriminated against? It's almost like the issue of racism in the United States of America (USA) and how whites discriminated against Asian Americans and African Americans as if they weren't truly American. American is a nationality - Asian and African are ethnicities. It's like how the mutants are unfairly discriminated against even though they too are still part of the human race. In the X-Force  comics, Stryfe took the Legacy Virus and decided to use it to create a human-mutant war. The trick was to give Gordon Lefferts, an assistant of Mr. Sinister, an empty ...

Some Stuff MK11 And MKX Had I Wish Were In MK9

Image
If you ask me I dunno what's wrong with modern gaming these days. I already bought the disk and I have to pay an extra USD 40.00 for the Aftermath pack? Well, I could pay for it but wouldn't it be too costly? I freaking bought the game already! Anyway, there's also FREE upgrades which will involve the return of Stage Fatalities (Like what took you SO LONG, Netherrealm?) and the return of Friendships. Now, I decided to talk about stuff I wish were in MK9 way before this game. The most obvious has to be that I wanted Cary Hiroyuki-Tagawa to be the voice of Shang Tsung in MK9 . Consider the fact that Shang Tsung's battle cry was ripped off straight from the Mortal Kombat movie last 1995. Shang Tsung's youthful appearance almost looks like Tagawa's character from The Phantom namely Singh. If Kano looks like the late Trevor Goddard then I wonder why Tagawa's appearance too so long to be integrated? Tagawa himself could've said some lines from the movie ...

Finally Caught Up With Beast Morphers And Hasbro's Next Power Rangers Plan

Image
Ever since Hasbro bought the rights to Power Rangers from Saban - I still wonder is it a good thing? Granted, Saban's really been operating on a Krusty Krab mindset since Samurai   then you know things won't look good. Then, you have Power Rangers skipping seasons such as when Go-Busters was skipped last 2013 in favor of Kyoryuger. Dino Charge for me was the only tolerable one though the whole summer hiatus has to be THAT stupid. Yup, Nickelodeon's summer hiatus is one good reason why I didn't only delete my slapstick fic - it's also another good reason to scream about frozen revenues when the money could've rolled in for Toei. Ninja Steel was even worse dumpster fire than Ninninger. If Ninninger made me skeptical if Super Sentai can still survive - Ninja Steel made me skeptical if Power Rangers can still survive . Now, we've got Hasbro's first direction with Power Rangers (though I wonder why Saban's name is still plastered on it rather than Hasb...

Why I Think Shaider Isn't As Great As Its Predecessors

Image
After having watched both Gavan and Sharivan from start to end - I'm just thinking of Shaider less. I could probably say it's because the actors Kenji Ohba and Hiroshi Watari had more charisma than the newcomer, the late Hiroshi Tsubaraya. Then again, I thought of a lot of stuff that Gavan and Sharivan had that Shaider didn't have. Ironically, Shaider got that popular in the Philippines while it was the lowest of the Space Sheriff Trilogy. The Space Sheriff Trilogy was eventually succeeded with Juspion and Spielban (which Watari returned as a totally different character). So, how does Shaider fare for me? Shaider is the continuation of Gavan and Sharivan. However, the ties were weakly linked. One can always argue that I've got myself excited for Exceedraft so why am I really biased towards Shaider? Sure, Shaider was part of my growing up then again so were Machineman and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers too. The opening of the series presents a new type of hero wh...

I'm Now Watching Sharivan

Image
Sometimes, it's nice to take a break from newer Tokusatsu to enjoy older Tokusatsu I never watched as a kid. It's not that I'm against innovative thinking. Rather, there are times I want to focus on one side of the fence first before trying out new stuff. Then again, there's a lot of new school stuff that catch my attention away from newer Tokusatsu series. After seeing both Gavan and Shaider (which were also aired in the Philippines) - I decided to check the missing gem known as Sharivan. Sharivan was never aired in the Philippines and neither was Spielban. Also, take note I saw Spielban first (it also starred Hiroshi Watari as the lead character) before Sharivan which came before it. For me Spielban eventually got less interesting for me in contrast to this show. Unlike Spielban, Sharivan was meant to be a very direct sequel to Gavan. Some events in Gavan are occasionally brought up so you might need to watch Gavan first. There's always an advantage to dire...

Megaman Legacy Collection Is Getting Revenge On The NES Megaman Games?

Image
It's no secret that I'm a Megaman fan. I remembered having the Rockman games on the NES (3, 5, and 6) and later played most of the other games on the PS2's Megaman Anniversary Collection where an easy mode made the brutal difficulty simpler for revenge. Well, there's also the Megaman Legacy Collection which contains the first six games on the NES along with a series of challenges. So, what's up with this game? You can consider the game is somewhat of a revenge game in a way. I remembered how earlier Megaman NES games were known for their extreme difficulty. Who can remember the irritating vehicle rides in Gutsman's stage or the irritating laser cannons in Quickman's stage? While the easy mode (or rookie mode for Megaman X Legacy Collection ) is virtually absent for Megaman Legacy Collection but there's one cool new feature. Remember how you wanted to save at the exact spot? Well, there's that trick where you hit the center pad of the PS4's con...
